Syska Group aka SSK Group, established in 1989, is an electrical company that has products ranging from LED bulbs, fans, power banks, to hair dryers. When it was formerly known as Gurunanak Marketing, the company distributed VCRs, TVs and Audio cassettes in 1989 and set up its flagship store called Shree Sant Kripa Appliances PVT Ltd. Syska group in 1989 was launched by Jeevan Uttamchandani, the owner who is now late. It was established in India and is headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Syska started producing LED lights in 2012 by the sons of the late Jeevan Uttamchandani, Rajesh and Govind Uttamchandani, who currently oversee the company. Syska Group has manufacturing units in Shirwal, Chakan and Rabale in India and invested 170 crores into these plants. The capacity of the plant in Shirwal monthly is about 30 lakh units and will employ around 1000 people and covers an area of 5 acres with an investment of 150 crores.
The Chakan manufacturing plant will cover an area of 40,000 sq ft and with an investment of 10 crores, the plants will produce between 700 to 1000 units daily of industrial lights on a 12-hour shift. There are plans for its capacity to increase to 3000 units per day, however.
The plant in Rabale also received an investment of 10 crores for a plant size of 20,000 sq ft and produces 7 lakhs bulbs and 20,000-panel lights monthly. The Rabale plant has an R & D and a testing lab that is NABL accredited.
